Media Sciences Ships Color Toner Cartridges for Use in Xerox(R) Phaser(R) 7300; OKI(R) 9300 and 9500; and Konica(R) 7830 Office Color Printers
    OAKLAND,
N.J., march 06- Media Sciences International, Inc., leading independent
manufacturer of solid ink and color toner cartridges for office color
printers, today announced the immediate availability of the Media
Sciences® 9000 series of newly manufactured, universal, high capacity
    cartridges for use in Xerox® Phaser® 7300, OKI® 9300 and 9500, and
Konica® 7830 office color printers. These cartridges replace and expand
upon the Company’s TC7300 line of cartridges for use in the Xerox
    Phaser 7300.
The significant features and benefits of the Media Sciences 9000 line include:
Printer users save up to 49 percent when choosing Media Sciences over the
    printer manufacturers’ brands.
    List
prices for the Media Sciences 9000 line are 14 percent lower than the
TC7300 line it replaces. When compared to the printer manufacturers’
brands, the 9000 cartridges deliver end-user savings of up to 49
percent. The OKI, Xerox, and Konica printers for which the 9000
products have been designed are traditionally high volume printers.
Therefore, end users can experience significant accrued savings when
    they choose Media Sciences.
Lower manufacturing costs to Media Sciences.
    Media
Sciences has been able to dramatically reduce the cost of the 9000 line
of cartridges versus the TC7300 line it replaces, while maintaining its
trademark high quality. The result is a lower selling price to the end
user and distribution channel, while delivering substantially better
    margins to Media Sciences.
New, universal cartridges designed for use in four different printers.
    As
universal cartridges, the four (cyan, magenta, yellow and black) 9000
cartridges are designed not only for use in the Xerox 7300 office color
printer, but also for use in three additional printers: OKI 9300 and
9500 and Konica 7830 office color printers, which together increase the
installed base opportunity for the product line by nearly 80 percent.
The universal nature of the Media Sciences 9000 cartridges means that
distribution partners need only to inventory four Media Sciences
cartridges for these four printers, in comparison to the 12 cartridges
    from the printer manufacturers.
    Michael W. Levin, President and
Chairman of Media Sciences International remarked on the new product
line’s significance to the Company. “The product launch of the 9000
series of color toner cartridges brings more value to the end user and
increases margins to the channel while significantly expanding the
installed base opportunity. All Media Sciences’ constituents –
customers, channel partners and stakeholders — benefit from its
    introduction.”
Other product news from Media Sciences since the
start of its fiscal year on July 1, 2005, has included announcements of
new solid ink products for use in the Xerox® Phaser® 8500 and 8550
office color printers and the Xerox WorkCentre® C2424 multifunction
color printer. Announcements regarding new or upcoming products in the
Company’s color toner cartridge line have included products for use in
    the Ricoh® Aficio® AP3800C and CL7000 and the OKI® 5000 and 7000 series
of printers. Well known in the industry for its highly successful
INKlusive® FREE Color Printer Program, Media Sciences expanded its
INKlusive program offerings in August 2005 to include free printer
programs for the Xerox Phaser 8500 and 8550, Xerox WorkCentre C2424,
and OKI C5200n office color printers, for customers committing to a
two- or three-year Media Sciences supplies agreement. All Media
Sciences products present the customer with an opportunity to purchase
high quality, warranty-protected office color supplies for a
significant savings when compared to the OEM brand.
