    Nu-Kote Adds 150 New Jobs
    You
may not have heard of the name, but chances are you have used Nu-Kote
International’s products. The company makes imaging supply products for
printers, copiers, and fax machines. Nu-Kote will add 150 news jobs in
Rochester.Nu-Kote International’s recent consolidation from locations
in Tennesee and Texas, brought all of the company’s research and
development jobs to Nu-Kote’s Ridgeway Avenue plant. Nu-Kote then
decided it was only natural to move the company’s corporate
    headquarters to Rochester.
“I can get all of the mind share under
one roof to really gain traction and catapult forward,” says Ron
Baiocchi, Nu-Kote CEO and President. The company makes imaging supply
products for ink jet printers, laser printers, copiers and fax
machines. Its major customers are office supply superstores and big box
retailers, like WalMart and Target. The numbers and bar codes on the
bottom of checks and mail also come from Nu-Kote’s products.
    President
and CEO Ron Baiocchi says the company could have expanded in Dallas. It
decided on Rochester because of the large talent pool in Rochester from
other companies like Kodak and Xerox.”From a business standpoint,
Rochester offers so much, the resources are tremendous here, great
colleges to draw of off,” says Baiocchi.Worldwide the industry is worth
$65 billion dollars. Over the past four years Nu-Kote has seen double
digit growth. The company anticipates future growth by diversifying its
business. Right now, Nu-Kote is reaching out to smaller businesses to
add to its client list. The company has already hired 59 people this
year, most of them in manufacturing. The rest of the new jobs will come
within a year.Nu-Kote sees the new hires as a good investment not only
for Rochester but also its own future.”At the end of the day it’s
really people who really drive our business. It’s that simple,” says
    Baiocchi.
