Hewlett-Packard (HP) has announced a product development partnership with Konica Minolta that will enable it to expand its imaging and printing products portfolio.
The first multi-function copier to come from the agreement is expected to hit the market in October.
Konica Minolta will manufacture the core parts of the machine while HP will sell the products through its sales networks under its own brand.
SVP of HP imaging and printing group George Mulhern said HP will utilise Konica’s copier engine expertise to bring to the market “one sophisticated system that is completely integrated with current HP hardcopy office products”.
Konica Minolta was created following the merger of photography giants Konica and Minolta, a deal which was concluded in August.
