    Xerox Spent $460,000 on Lobbying
    WASHINGTON
    -Xerox Corp. spent $460,000 lobbying the federal government in the
    first half of 2007, according to a disclosure form.

    The
    office-equipment manufacturer lobbied Congress on more than a half
    dozen issues, including executive compensation, tax credits for
    research and development expenses and information technology
    regulations. The company also advocated permanent, normal trade
    relations with Russia, according to a form filed online Aug. 8 by the
    Senate’s public records office.Under a federal law enacted in 1995,
    lobbyists are required to disclose activities that could influence
    members of the executive and legislative branches. They are required to
    disclose how much they are paid in the first six months of each year.
