Colour laser cartridge sales to hit $4 billion in 2005
9 January 2004 – Newtonville (MA): Lyra Research has predicted that sales of colour laser printer cartridges will grow to $4 billion in 2005.
Lyra expects the aftermarket players to focus on the segment although they will encounter increased difficulty in manufacturing colour toner.
The research company forecasts colour laser cartridge shipments to reach 41.3 million units in 2005, almost double 2003’s figure.
The current state of play of the colour laser supplies market will be addressed in a presentation at the 2004 Lyra Imaging Symposium from 26-28 January at the Marriot’s Rancho Las Palmas resort in Rancho Mirage, California.
