2005 – Tokyo (JPN): Fuji Xerox is revamping its distribution systems for
markets in the US and Europe, according to online Japanese news service Nikkei.
The company has established two hub warehouses in the US, one in the
east and one in the west, as well as a single European hub in the Netherlands in
order to better manage copiers and printers.
The hubs, which will store
finished products, will allow the company to respond more quickly to market
changes and reduce delivery times from as much as three months to a few weeks,
according to the report.
