Headline: Boise Cascade Q4 sales up 31%
22 January 2004 – Boise (ID): Boise Cascade has reported a 31% rise in Q4 sales.
Sales jumped to $2.4 billion from $1.8 billion a year earlier, due to strong prices for wood products and growth in Boise Office Solutions.
The firm posted net income of $6.9 million, or EPS of $0.05, compared to $6.2 million, or EPS of $0.05, a year earlier. Excluding a special item and the net impact of the OfficeMax purchase, Boise net income was $18.3 million, or EPS of $0.24.
Boise CEO George Harad said: “Boise’s sales and income should increase substantially in 2004. With the acquisition of OfficeMax, Boise Office Solutions will post sharply higher sales and operating income in 2004.”
