    Katun Corporation Names Former General Electric, Xerox
    Executives to Senior Sales, Marketing Positions in U.S., Europe

    MINNEAPOLIS, Feb. 05 — Katun Corporation, the world’s
    largest supplier of OEM-compatible supplies and parts to the office equipment
    industry, today announced that two veteran technology executives have joined the
    company in senior sales and marketing positions.

    The company announced that Russell (Russ) St. John has been
    appointed senior vice president for marketing and product deployment, where he
    will drive product research and development for the Katun Imaging Division, lead
    marketing, supply chain and quality teams, and help to chart the company’s
    overall strategic direction.

    Prior to joining Katun, St. John was with General Electric
    Aircraft Engines and Engine Services, where he held increasingly responsible
    positions in marketing, sales and technical product development for more than 20
    years. Most recently, St. John was director of material products marketing,
    where he led development of growth strategy for a large aftermarket business. In
    this position, he oversaw multiple products and markets, established roadmaps
    for product and services development, and developed sales and marketing
    strategies for a complex, worldwide customer base. At GE, he also earned the Six
    Sigma Master Black Belt Certification and led a 137-member Six Sigma team for GE
    Engine Services at locations throughout the U.S., Europe and Asia.

    A licensed professional engineer, St. John holds both an
    M.B.A. and a double-major B.S. in mechanical engineering and material science
    from the University of Connecticut. St. John is located at Katun’s headquarters
    in Minneapolis.

    Katun also announced that Michael Gierden has been
    appointed to vice president of sales for Europe, where he will direct sales
    programs for Katun’s extensive European operations.

    Gierden brings more than a decade of international sales
    and marketing management experience to Katun. Most recently, he directed sales
    and marketing for the Xerox Global Services business for Xerox Corporation in
    Germany, where he led a team of more than 25 business development and account
    managers. Gierden’s experience also includes three years as a global account
    general manager in Xerox’s Global Account Management organization in Europe,
    where he successfully developed and implemented global account business plans
    covering more than 70 different countries with his account team. Prior to this,
    he worked eight years with Toshiba GmbH, Germany, and with Novell in several
    sales and marketing functions managing product marketing and channel sales and
    well as business planning.

    Gierden holds an M.A. in marketing and communication from
    the Marketing Academy in Dusseldorf and is located at Katun’s sales operation
    center in Germany.
