    <TD colSpan=2><FONT face=Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif color=#000000 size=2><FONT color=blue size=3> The office equipment unit of Konica Minolta Holdings Inc. is planning a 60% increase in production capacity for poly-merised toner used in printers and copiers. </FONT>
    <P><FONT color=blue size=3>Konica Minolta Business Technologies Inc. is investing 3 billion yen to expand its plant in Kofu, adding a new facility at the site of affiliated toner producer Konica Minolta Supplies Manufacturing Co. The new factory will house production lines for color and monochrome toner and will boost capacity to 8,000 tons per year from 5,000 tons at present. It is slated for completion in August 2005 and will commence production in January 2006. </FONT>
    <P><FONT color=blue size=3>Poly-merised toner makes use of emulsification technology and has finer, more uniform ink particles than conventional toners. As a result, it produces higher quality images. Production is being increased accompanying expanded sales of office equipment compatible with it.</FONT>
