China: Opportunities in a Growing Market
Heidelberg to appear with complete range of solutions at China Print in
    Beijing.

From May 11 through 15, 2005, Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg)
will be at the “6th International Printing Technology Exhibition” in Beijing,
China Print, to show a cross-section of the company’s complete solution
portfolio. On an exhibition space of around 3,600 m2, the focus of the
exhibition will be on offerings from prepress to postpress for packaging and
label printers, industrial printers, and small and midsize printshops. This is
rounded off by a presentation of the Prinect Workflow, the modular software from
Heidelberg for controlling and optimizing the entire production process
    .

    Biggest China Print Yet
“This is without doubt set to be the
largest and most important China Print in the history of the trade show,”
emphasizes GĂ¼nter Zorn, head of the Asia Region at Heidelberg. Zorn is expecting
a further increase in the number of foreign visitors. “China in particular has
exhibited high growth rates in recent years and forecasts for the future predict
that the graphic arts industry will experience its strongest growth in this
region,” explains Zorn. Given this trend, Heidelberg has been meticulous in
preparing the groundwork for this year’s China Print. In addition to the
offerings in the various application sectors, the focus at the trade show will
also be on Remote Service – being presented in web-based form for the first time
in China – environmental topics, consumables and replacement parts supply.

    Heidelberg Largest Single Exhibitor
With its own hall (Hall 2) and
as the largest single exhibitor, Heidelberg is well-prepared for China Print and
is appearing under the slogan “Created with Passion. Made for Success”. In
keeping the identity that made its debut at drupa 2004, the market leader in the
print media industry is looking to achieve continuity and maximize the
recognition effect among its international customers. More important, however,
is the fact that the offering has been tailored to the strong Chinese market.
