Depot releases true-green catalogue

January 2005–Delray Beach (FL):Office Depot has released its 2005 Green Book catalogue, allegedly the industry’s first to be published on elemental chlorine free, 100 per cent recycled paper.

Sent to nearly 40,000 of Depot’s B2B customers, the true-green publication contains nearly 2,500 environmentally-friendly products – an 84 per cent increase over last year’s edition – as well as advice on how companies can be more environmentally-aware.

Tyler Elm, Office Depot’s director of environmental affairs, said: “Our customers view us as more than a provider of office supplies and services – we are their business partner. And as their business partner, we help them to achieve their business goals, including those related to the environment.”
