AnonymousInactiveOfficeMax Announces New Chief Information Officer,
Vice President and TreasurerOfficeMax(R)Incorporated, a leader in office
products and services, has announced that Randy G. Burdick has been named chief
information officer and John S. Jennings had been named vice president and
treasurer.
Burdick will hold responsibility for the company’s overall information
technology strategy and the development and implementation of programs in
support of that strategy. Jennings will oversee finance, cash management,
investor relations, and risk management.
Burdick previously held the group information officer and vice president,
supply chain operations role with Hewlett-Packard Company’s Compaq division,
where he led strategic technology initiatives related to the Hewlett-Packard and
Compaq merger as well as key programs related to workforce and operations
management technologies. Prior to joining Hewlett-Packard in 1999, Burdick held
management positions with Advanced Micro Devices and Harris Semiconductor.
“Randy’s experience and expertise will be of great value to OfficeMax as we
pursue the integration of our contract and retail businesses,” said George
Harad, executive chairman and chief executive officer. “His leadership of our
information technology function will drive further innovation in our businesses
and the programs and services we deliver to our customers.” Burdick holds a B.S.
in computer engineering and a Master of Science degree in computer science from
the University of South Florida
Jennings brings to OfficeMax more than 15 years of corporate finance
experience. Prior to joining OfficeMax, Jennings had held the vice
president-investor relations position with Caremark Rx, Inc. since 2003.
Previously, Jennings held treasury, investor relations and strategy positions
with CVS Corporation.
“With opportunities to serve a broader range of customers, OfficeMax also has
the opportunity to strengthen key business functions,” said Ted Crumley, chief
financial officer for OfficeMax. “John brings a strong background in finance and
investor relations to OfficeMax and will be instrumental in leading growth in
these areas.”
Jennings holds a B.S. degree in business administration and an MBA degree
