XEROX TO SPEND ANOTHER $25M TO EXPAND NEW YORK TONER PLANT

Corp. said Tuesday that it will invest $25 million over the next year
to expand an upstate New York manufacturing plant to meet growing demand
for its chemically grown toner.Xerox says the benefit of emulsion
aggregation, or EA, toner is that its consistency is smoother than other
toners, which are made from pulverized plastic. Having more evenly
sized particles in the toner is designed to yield finer image quality.
Xerox also says printers using EA toner use less toner per page and take
less time to warm up.

Xerox plans to finish construction on its
Webster, N.Y. plant by the end of 2011, at which point it will have
increased its EA toner manufacturing capacity by 50 percent. The
expansion will add 10 engineers and union technicians, bringing the
total number of employees working at the plant to 85.The current plant
produces EA toner for use in Xerox products around the globe.
