    Island Ink-Jet lobbying feds
November  2008 An international printer cartridge refilling franchise is asking customers to join them in calling on the Canadian government to help in the diversion of an estimated 300 million cartridges from landfills annually around the world. The company, which has a location in North Vancouver’s Capilano Mall, has created a petition asking the Canadian government to create legislation that will stop cartridge manufacturers from making products that are unable to be refilled.According to the Capilano Mall location owner Glen Sandwell, the European government has instituted such a law and a group in Australia is calling on their government to do the same.Noel Bentley, manager of Island Ink-Jet in Capilano Mall, refills a printer cartridge, an important means of diverting waste from landfills.View Larger Image View Larger Image To sign the petition, visit Island Ink-Jet in person, or visit http://www.keeprefillingalive.com.
