    Donation Of Dell Printers To
    Benefit Schools, Nonprofits

    On June 2.05, Gifts
In Kind Chattanooga, a program of United Way’s Center for Nonprofits, will be
distributing nearly 400 donated Dell printers to about 65 pre-qualified Gifts In
Kind nonprofit members with 501(c)3 status and Title 1 schools in Tennessee and
    North Georgia.

Made possible through a new donation program offered in
the U.S. and Canada through Gifts In Kind International—the world leader in
product philanthropy—and Dell Inc., eligible nonprofits will receive refurbished
Dell All-In-One printers at no cost, a $79-$159 value per printer. The donation
will provide assistance to educational programs for children from Kindergarten
to the 12th grade, adult literacy efforts, job training, programs for the
physically disabled and financially disadvantaged as well as other vital
    community services.

The Dell printer donation includes three different
models that provide printing, copying and scanning capabilities. Two of the
three models feature fax capabilities. Each printer donation will include
cabling, a color ink cartridge and a black ink cartridge.

    “This program
will place technology with organizations that may not otherwise be able to
afford it, in turn bringing the benefits of technology to more people. Dell is
excited to be able to provide our printers to Gifts in Kind and its nonprofit
members,” said Gregory Davis, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Imaging and
    Printing Group for Dell Inc.

“This donation is going to help our agency
in a big way, because it is money that we don’t have to spend,” said Stewart
Payne, executive director of Alexian Brothers Senior Neighbors. “Senior
Neighbors is currently renovating our home office and senior center to improve
our services to older adults. Now our already tight budget won’t have to stretch
even further to afford printers for our everyday operations; instead we can
    focus on enhancing the center.”

    “This contributions program is a
wonderful example of an environmentally responsible company recognizing a
thoughtful way to assist the charitable sector,” said Susan Corrigan, President
and Chief Executive Officer of Gifts In Kind International. “Tens of thousands
of non-profits nationwide will benefit from Dell’s generous donation and be able
to provide vital services to those who are most in need.”

    Title 1 schools
and nonprofits with a 501(c)3 status that are interested in applying for
available printers can contact Gifts In Kind Director Diane Collins at or (423) 752-0353 at United Way’s Center for Nonprofits.
    Limited quantities are still available.
