XEROX rolls out 31 new products for Bangladesh market
“As I remember, Xerox, the name became synonymous to photocopy when we were students thirty-forty years from now,” said Science and ICT Minister Moyeen Khan, while recalling his thoughts about the company that innovated copiers. The minister was speaking at the launching ceremony of the global office solution giant, Xerox Corporation on June 15 at the Dhaka Sheraton hotel, where the company unveiled a plan to increase its share in Bangladesh document management industry

As part of the strategy, the company will be launching 31 new products for Bangladesh market this year. Xerox has also identified Color and Inkjet to Laser conversion as key priorities for its Bangladesh operations.

The new set of products will be launched by Xerox in Bangladesh will be retailed through its sole distributor ‘International Office Equipment’. The new products include; 7 mono laser printers, 5 color laser printers, 16 MFDs, 3 DLP projectors, 5 scanners and 2 laser fax. With the launch of the new products Xerox will have a total of 60 document management products in portfolio in Bangladesh.

Speaking at the launch, Andrew Horne, Xerox South Asia Chief said Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan and Sri Lanka have been identified as potential growth markets for Xerox. “We plan to strengthen our presence in these markets by ramping up our sales and marketing initiatives and expanding our product portfolio.”

The new products being launched are a part of Xerox Corporation’s global launch to allow customers in Bangladesh to get a taste of the latest Xerox technology/products at the same time “as a customer anywhere in the world”.

As the market of document management solutions matures in Bangladesh, Xerox will take a lead in seamlessly executing its ‘Color everywhere’ strategy by injecting color into digital office, digital production and value added services, said Aftab ul Islam, president & CEO, International Office Equipment (IOE).

“By launching the array of digital color multifunctional devices, Xerox will tap the Office and Enterprise segments and emerge as the ‘Smart Alternative’ across multiple product segments in which it operates,” Aftab hoped.

“We are delighted to be associated with Xerox, a leading global brand. We hope to build and further strenghten our two year old relationship with Xerox to make Xerox a preferred choice for document solutions for offices across industries,” he added.
