China Apex Launches Fake
Xerox & Fuji Xerox Toner Chips Without Oem Consent.
The company has launched a range of chips for use in the two OEMs’ printers.
Apex stated that both Xerox and Fuji Xerox launched a series of new printers last year, for both the home or SMB markets, with these new launches including the Xerox VersaLink B400 and B405, Phaser 6510 and 6515n, as well as the Fuji Xerox DocuPrint CM315z and CP315dw. The first two Xerox launches are monochrome with print speeds of 47ppm, while the second two feature print speeds of 30ppm in both black and colours.
The two Fuji Xerox launches meanwhile feature print speeds of 28ppm in both black and colours, with the B405, 6515n and CM315z MFPs and the remainder single-function printers. Apex’s chips for the printers feature an “ASIC design with consistent performance”, and are “OEM size and can be used in recycled cartridges”.
The “first-to-market” chips are now available, with monochrome chips available globally in three yields for the B400 and 405, in yields of 13,900 pages, 24,600 pages and 65,0900 pages. In the Middle East, CMYK chips were launched for the 6510 and 6515n, with yields of 5,500 pages in black and 2,400 pages in colours, while globally the same chips were launched with the same yields.
Finally, the chips for the Fuji Xerox machines were launched for the Asia-Pacific market only, with the CMYK chips featuring yields of 6,000 pages for black and colours.
