Xerox is taking another step to strengthen its balance sheet by launching a debt exchange transaction involving approximately $174 million in existing debt, aiming to extend $121 million in debt maturities from 2028 to 2030 and reduce total debt principal by approximately $53 million. The move comes as the printer and office technology giant faces mounting financial pressure, following a third-quarter 2026 report showing a wider loss, a reduced full-year adjusted income outlook, and a 22% stock decline. Xerox has approximately $4.2 billion in total debt, including $2.9 billion in core business debt and $1.3 billion supporting financing assets. The company also reported $412 million in unrestricted cash and approximately $726 million in total available liquidity. While the proposed transaction could ease near-term repayment pressure and reduce outstanding debt, Xerox still faces a substantial financial challenge as investors watch its turnaround strategy, earnings performance, and ability to restore confidence in its future. Can Xerox turn its financial situation around?
