Boise donates to Katrina schools
June
2006 – Dayton (OH): Boise Paper has donated 319 tons of paper to the
School, Home & Office Products Association (SHOPA) Kids In Need
Foundation.The offer was designed to provide print and copy paper to 16
school districts in Mississippi that were hit by Hurricane Katrina. In
addition, a portion of the paper was sent to the Foundation’s network
of 21 resource centres to be used in underprivileged school districts.
OfficeMax, a long time customer of Boise, brought the Foundation’s call
for aid to the attention of the paper manufacturer after asking for 10
tons of paper for the charity push.
