Canon to top net profit estimates
September
2006 — Tokyo (JPN): Canon expects to report a 16 percent rise in annual
net profit to ¥445 billion yen ($3.78 billion), according to the
Japanese business paper, Nihon Keizai. The company will beat consensus
estimates of ¥439.1 billion by ¥5 billion. The expected rise is
attributed to an increase in sales driven by demand for multi-function
copiers.
