Fuji Xerox Printers has announced that it has quadrupled its laser printer and multi-function unit sales.
For
FY2006, the company recorded year-on-year growth for colour single
function units and monochrome single function units at 29% and 18%
respectively, while multifunction (colour and monochrome) units
experienced “phenomenal” growth of 361% for the year.
Managing
Director of Fuji Xerox Printers in Asia Pacific, James Henderson,
attributes this success to the value the company brings to its
customers in terms of product quality, pre and post-sales efficiency,
and the strengthening of its channels presence across Asia Pacific.
“In

the Graphic Arts markets and the customers’ response has been nothing
but fantastic. With the support from our channel partners, our
innovative and reliable products and services were easily available in
each market,” Henderson went on to elaborate.

IDC’s Asia/Pacific Quarterly Multi-function Printer (MFP) Tracker
report, the total MFP market grew 28% over the previous year, totaling
8.1 million units in 2006. While laser MFP shipments recorded a 46%
increase over 2005, with over 2 million units sold in 2006. The colour
MFP market segment constitutes 5% of overall laser MFP shipments in
2006 and is expected to reach 9% by 2011.

unit sales grew by 35% over the last year. Jeffrey Tan, General
Manager/ Director, ASEAN, Fuji Xerox Printers said, “For the fourth
