3M announces record sales and profits
January
2008 – St Paul (MN), USA3M has reported record sales for 2007 of $24.5
billion, with profits also at an all-time high of $4.1 billion.In the
consumer and office division sales grew by 2.6 percent at local
currency rates, and the division posted operating income of $688
million, up from $629 million in 2006.The strongest growth in consumer
and office came in the home care and DIY businesses, with regional
sales growth led by the Europe and APAC regions.
