Ink Technologies Simplifies Toner Cartridge Recycling

Ink Technologies, a popular retailer of high-quality printer ink and toner cartridges, is pleased to reaffirm its commitment to environmental sustainability with the advent of a new toner cartridge recycling program.

Each toner cartridge contains 3 pounds of manufactured material and uses 3 quarts of oil to produce. They are composed mainly of plastic and metal, resources which incur a considerable environmental impact as they are mined, processed, and discarded in landfills, where the plastic components will take at least 1000 year to degrade. Most toner cartridges can be recycled up to 4 times, saving 9 pounds of virgin resources compared to manufacturing new, and conserving 12 quarts of oil.

Ink Technologies, as a responsible member of the corporate community, take their green responsibilities seriously and have decided to instigate a program of recycling to reduce the burden that toner cartridges put on our environment.

To make the process as simple as possible, a web form has been provided for customers to fill in their details, after which they will be sent a shipping return tag in the mail.

“As a company, we are committed to helping our customers to reduce their carbon footprint as they strive to live environmentally sustainable lives,” commented Mike Davis, CEO of Ink Technologies, “We are excited to be providing this new service and hope our customers will take advantage of the opportunity to do their part in combating the negative consequences of wasted resources.”

As an environmentally-responsible organisation, Ink Technologies already makes significant efforts to operate with maximum environmental sustainability and minimum resource wastage. Their focus on solid ink printing technologies produces less waste than conventional laser printers, and they recycle as much warehouse and office material as possible. The new toner cartridge recycling program will be another step on the way to Ink Technologies goal of carrying out their business in harmony with environmental needs and their customers requirements for green products.
