Ricoh America Laying-Off Another 147 Employees In Connecticut
Ricoh Closure to Affect 147
by Mara Lee
The closure of a Glastonbury office of Ricoh Americas Corp. will put 147 people out of work at the end of November, according to a notice filed with the state Department of Labor, primarily in customer billing.
Ricoh, a Japanese office imaging, print, document management systems and IT services company, had already announced the closure of one of its two Glastonbury locations in July.
Some of the jobs were being moved to Duluth, Ga., but some of the work would be done at 655 Winding Brook Drive in Glastonbury, a company spokesman said then. The 855 Winding Brook Drive office is closing.
In November 2012 the company laid off 57 employees in Glastonbury.
