Konica Minolta to Launch “World’s Fastest” Auto-Scanning Spectrophotometer.

Konica Minolta has announced development of its new FD-9, an auto-scanning spectrophotometer capable of measuring a standard colour chart, commonly used in the printing industry for profile creation, at the “fastest speed in the world.” It will be launched worldwide this summer, with repair and calibration services available at the OEM’s five major business centres around the world. Major features include:
A rendering of the Konica Minolta FD-9 Spectrophotometer.

Measuring a colour chart for profile creation in about 4 minutes – significantly reducing the time required for scanning as well as operator errors, while achieving “improved accuracy in colour measurement.”

User-friendly LCD display on the main body allows users to set up, operate and monitor the instrument with ease.

The FD-9 can be used in a network environment to serve multiple printers from all major manufacturers.

The OEM added that its new FD-9, incorporating Konica Minolta’s state-of-the-art optical measurement and image processing technologies, “brings greater ease, accuracy and efficiency to the colour management process in the printing industry.”
