United Stationers Announces New Chief Information Officer
DEERFIELD, Ill., April 17, 2015 – United Stationers Inc. announced today that Janet Zelenka has been appointed to senior vice president and chief information officer, effective immediately.
"Janet has proven her transformational leadership skills in leading the transition of our office supply and janitorial businesses to a common operating and information technology platform," said P. Cody Phipps, president and chief executive officer. "As we look to the future, we will need this leadership capability in guiding our information technology shared service organization. I am very pleased that Janet will take on this strategic and critical role and continue to lead the transition to a common platform."
Ms. Zelenka joined the company in 2006 as vice president and general auditor and has held several key management positions, including vice president of finance and margin management. Prior to joining the company, Janet held executive positions at SBC-Ameritech (now AT&T) including vice president–information technology and chief financial officer-information technology.
