Kodak Pushes Court To Ax Kyocera Infringement Claims

By Maria Chutchian Law360, New York, Eastman Kodak Co. on Tuesday urged a New York bankruptcy judge to toss most of Kyocera Corp.’s patent infringement suit over 15 camera and printer patents, saying more than a dozen of Kyocera’s claims violate the automatic stay because they could have been brought before Kodak filed for bankruptcy.

The iconic camera and imaging company contends the court should dismiss those 13 claims and requested that the court implement the automatic stay with respect to the remaining two patents, one of which Kodak said was issued…
