Epson Announces POS Inkjet Cartridge Recycling Program
Program Lowers Cost of Consumables, Upgrades Warranty and Benefits Community

Epson, a leading supplier of value-added Point of Sale (POS) solutions, has announced a new program that enables its retail and banking customers to recycle used inkjet cartridges in exchange for free cartridges and upgraded service warranties on inkjet printers. The program also contributes funds to selected schools and charitable organizations. “With this program, Epson aims to make the cost of inkjet cartridges more affordable for our business customers,” said Bud Weist, vice president of sales and marketing, Epson System Device group. “By recycling cartridges, we give back to the community and our customers benefit by lowering their consumables cost. It’s a win- win situation.”

Program Benefits: The inkjet cartridge recycling program is available for Epson’s TM-J7000, TM-J7100, TM-J9000 and TM-J9100 model inkjet printers. Upon joining the program, customers will receive the following benefits:

Free Ink Cartridges: One free inkjet cartridge for every twelve Epson inkjet cartridges returned.

Upgraded Warranty: Warranty is upgraded from the standard one-year Depot Warranty to one-year Spare-In-The-Air(R) coverage on every registered printer. With the Spare-In-The-Air coverage, customers receive quick overnight replacement of failed units; simple, one-call initiation of replacement unit and all packaging supplies for the return; and toll- free convenient access to Epson service representatives Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time.

Charitable Donation: Every returned inkjet cartridge earns points that can be redeemed by a company-selected school or non-profit organization to purchase classroom technology, recreation equipment, and other supplies.

Program Enrollment: To enroll in the program, visit pos.epson.com/banking and complete the registration form for each participating business location. Once product serial numbers have been verified, Epson will automatically upgrade the corresponding printers from standard Depot Warranty to Spare-In-The-Air service. Registered customers receive a welcome package with program details, a replacement cartridge request form, a recycling container, and an Epson pre-paid shipping label.
