    AUSTRALIA’s TONNEX DUMPS BROTHER CORP

Australian computer consumables wholesaler; Tonnex International has officially parted company with Brother International (Aust.). Tonnex International Director, George Solomon commenting that, “for us it is all about ensuring we are providing customers with the best possible service on the best possible products at the best possible price and in that approach, having a direct relationship with the Vendor is usually the most effective way. However, in the instance of Brother we found that there were a number of factors that were impacting on our ability to do so. Predominately, as Brother were selling direct to Resellers, there was an obvious concern about competing with your supplier, especially when sell-through reports are involved. Furthermore, their lack of end user offers provided little incentive in comparison with imported product. So when we began having difficulty with the support we were receiving from Brother, given these reasons, we needed to make a decision to do what is right for our customers, which is to maintain competitive prices and consistent supply without disadvantaging them from any unique benefits that they would otherwise have received.

Given our reputation and contacts in international markets, we are assuring customers that the Brother products we are providing are 100% genuine OEM free from counterfeit as all our products are.

We are confident that it will be business as usual and re-assure our customers that this decision will be better for them as we otherwise would not have moved this way.

The separation with Brother Australia came into effect on the 1st of April and feedback to date from customers indicates that they are more than happy to continue purchasing their Brother from us and we will ensure that their trust and loyalty is respected, valued and reciprocated in our commitment to service excellence.
