Sharp Dealer Show, Dallas TXGreetings from the Sharp Electronics dealer show in Dallas TX. We are here with about 300 dealers, analysts, press and more at the Gaylord Hotel. This year celebrates Sharp’s 40th anniversary in the document business. We will write more about the dealer show later but this is a quick look at what we saw.
This was the first dealer show for president Doug Albregts – a fairly young executive who never worked in this channel. As this was his first show, dealers were anxious to see how him in action. This is especially true considering who he replaced last year. Ed McGlaughlin was a copier industry veteran and dealers really liked him. Albregts has a great sense of humor and it was seen quickly as Sharp showed a video parody, identifying him as the most interesting non-copier man in the world – a spoof of the popular Dos Equis commercial. It was a hilarious video and we’re hoping Sharp will eventually allow us to post.

Samsung Helps Dealers Market to DoD & National GuardIn order to provide consistent high-security across vulnerable networks, the CAC solution provides Samsung Multifunction Printers (MFPs) with protection from potential threats such as theft or redirection of data. With a CAC solution installed, high-security facilities can now restrict access to the MFP’s walk-up functions (e.g., copy, fax, scan-to-email or scan-to-fax functions), preventing sensitive documentation from being sent to unauthorized individuals.
MFP Comparisons Over 1,500 MFPs and printers allow you to compare MFPs from more brands than any other service.
