Long Beach Calif Adopt Aftermarket Printer Cartridge Policie

City of Long Beach and LBUSD Adopt Aftermarket Printer Cartridge Policies

LONG BEACH, Calif., June, 2012 InkPeace, LLC, a leading laser printer toner consulting and distribution company, announced today that the company has added the 92-school Long Beach Unified School District (LBUSD) and the 22-department City of Long Beach to its client base indicating that major governmental bodies are joining commercial business in embracing environmentally responsible products, while at the same time, slashing costs.

InkPeace was awarded a three-year contract with the state of California’s 3rd largest school district in December of 2011 and serves the LBUSD directly.  The company will be working with the City of Long Beach through a contract recently awarded to Complete Office of California, a Poway based office products company.  Complete Office chose InkPeace to supply its line of environmentally responsible toner cartridges for printers, copiers, and fax machines to the 22 departments within the city.

"These contracts will save our budget-starved city government and area schools over $2M in the short-term", according to Mark Hawkins, founder of InkPeace.  "The savings is a no-brainer, but we had to prove quality and service before being embraced by large institutions", Hawkins said.  With both city government and the regions largest school district adopting refurbished toner policies, an estimated 100,000 users will be printing with the eco-friendly product.

InkPeace is best known for its environmental policies when it comes to ink and toner for printers.  All toner cartridges are remanufactured and recycled locally giving Hawkins control of the quality.  In addition, InkPeace stays away from imported counterfeits that pose as refurbished product.

"Anyone can go online and find low cost, imported cartridges", says Hawkins.  "We prefer to keep the quality high, the pricing low, and keeping the jobs here at home."

Hawkins cites the improvement in re-engineering and development of the OEM (name brand) toner cartridge as a major reason that even the most pragmatic decision makers are changing their attitudes on aftermarket cartridges.  Today, the replacement printing cartridge industry has matured with improved manufacturing and testing standards and processes..

InkPeace is in the midst of expanding the company’s services into other city governments, school districts, and commercial businesses outside the greater Long Beach area.

InkPeace, LLC, specializes in the consulting and distribution of remanufactured toner cartridges for laser printers.  Clients include commercial businesses, government, and education. Founded in 2008, the company is based in Long Beach, CA.  More information at InkPeace.com.
