Jadi to build own plant in China
PETALING JAYA: Toner maker Jadi Imaging Holdings Bhd will start building its own factory in China next year.
Executive
director Lim Hock Guan said it had bought a site measuring 17,791 sq m
in Suzhou for RM1.9mil. It currently operates from a rented factory in
Suzhou. He said in view of the rapid growth in demand for toners in
China, the company planned to invest in another production line in its
existing factory next year. On its main factory in Shah Alam, he said
Jadi would improve the productivity and efficiency in its operations by
installing a new automated material handling and centralised dust
collection system for its second and third production lines. Jadi’s
shares closed unchanged at 24 sen on the first day of their transfer to
the main board yesterday. A total 602,100 shares were traded. Alliance
Research in a Aug 17 note set a target price of 35 sen for Jadi for the
next 12 months. It also expects Jadi to record better performance in
the second half of the year, with stronger sales and bottom line on the
back of higher production capacity.
