    Uk Scheme Wants Your Ink Ctgs for Adults With Disabilities

    A Ink recycle bin has been placed at Asda to raise money to provide employment opportunities for adults with disabilities. Recycle bins are manufactured in Bury by Haldo developments and in conjunction with St Edmundsbury Waste management.
    January 2012 A SOCIAL enterprise company which helps people with disabilities is launching a printer cartridge recycling scheme.Eco Services Digital, which is part of Whitehouse Enterprises, is asking people to recycle their used cartridges at nine sites in and around Bury St Edmunds.

    This avoids putting them in landfill and also raises money for the work of the social enterprise based at Moreton Hall.Haldo Developments has manufactured the bright yellow bins, which have been placed at stores and in nearby villages.The scheme was launched on Wednesday at Asda, in Western Way, which will take one of the bins. The others are at Waitrose and Sainsbury’s, in Bury, at Ram Meadow car park, Ixworth Library, Moreton Hall Community Centre, Vinery Road car park, Risby Village Hall and Barrow car park off Britons Crescent.

    Andrew Akehurst, manager of Eco Services Digital, said: “I am asking everyone in Bury and villages to bring their empty printer cartridges to our easy to spot yellow recycling bins.“We will use them to help give over 100 adults with disabilities all kinds of benefits through being employed.”
