Tech-Data to miss earnings outlook
August 2005 – Clearwater (FL): Tech
Data’s Q2 2006 earnings are expected to be in the range of $12.5 million to
$16.5 million, below the company’s previous outlook of between $24 million and
$27 million.Chairman and CEO Steven Raymund claimed this was down to a
lower-than-expected gross margin in the European region. He said: “While our
Americas region continues to perform well, challenges in our European operations
have impacted our overall earnings expectations for the quarter.”
