Fuji Xerox targets 20,000 units of printers in FYE2006
Fuji Xerox Printers is
targeting to sell 20,000 units of printers for the financial year
ending March 31, 2006 (FYE2006) from 16,000 units in FYE2005, said its
general manager in Malaysia, Ken Lee.
He said it sold 16,000 units across its printer range in FYE2005
against 6,000 units in FYE2004. “We are confident that the sales figure
will continue to climb with the launch of the new printer models,” Lee
said in a statement on Sept 27.
Fuji Xerox Printers recently released two colour printer models –
DocuPrint C525A and DocuPrint C2535A – and three monochrome printers –
Phaser 3116, Phaser 3121 and Phaser 5500.
“The models offer faster speeds and better print qualities at lower
price points, which put Fuji Xerox Printers innovation within better
reach of SOHOs and home users,” the company said.
Fuji Xerox Printers saw a 113% growth in unit sales across the Asia-Pacific region in FYE2005.
“This dramatic success, led by managing director of Fuji Xerox Asia
Pacific Printer Channel Operations, James Henderson, is the result of a
strategic restructure of the Fuji Xerox Printer business across Asia
Pacific,” the company said.
“Fuji Xerox Printers has gained significant market share, with the
majority of our 11 key markets more than doubling their unit sales.
“Our aggressive and sound business strategy positions Fuji Xerox
Printers to offer our customers a unique combination of proven industry
expertise coupled with innovative and reliable products,” said Henderson
