Amazon Fulfillment To Increase Prices For Re-Sellers in Europe On April 1st, 2020.
Online retailers who use the “Fulfilled by Amazon” service must pay more from April 1st. Amazon increases the price of its fulfillment services by an average of nine percent.
The price increases vary depending on the package size and weight class. The shipping of standard packages in particular is becoming more expensive, according to press reports that refer to Amazon’s announcement in the so-called “Seller Central”. For example, a package with a weight of five kilograms will in future cost EUR 5.02 instead of EUR 4.37. The dealer justified the higher service fees with increased costs, in the past year alone they had invested more than four billion dollars in infrastructure, programs, personnel as well as tools and services.
