HP printer ink praised for fade resistance
April,2007
HP printer cartridges, when used with the HP PhotoSmart 385, have been
praised for their ability to resist fading.According to the Engadget
blog, the printer, with HP printer cartridges loaded, provided
printouts that lasted longer and retained their colour better than a
host of other big name brands. The basic test involved pictures printed
on the PhotoSmart 385, Canon Selphy DS810, Kodak EasyShare PP-500,
Samsung SSP-2040 and Epson Picture Mate 100 being fixed in a window so
that they faced sunlight during the day for 11 months.
HP’s
PhotoSmart 385 easily outperformed the other printers, with the Epson
Picture Mate 100 doing a “fair job of wowing the critics”, according to
the blog. Most disappointing was the Samsung SSP-2040, which was
“nothing short of dreadful”, Engadget writer Darren Murph wrote. In
February HP announced that it had set “new industry records” in digital
printing for the 2006 period.
