Ricoh, IBM form jv in China printer market
Beijing 06 07  – The InfoPrinter Solutions Co., Ltd., a joint venture between Ricoh and IBM, has entered China’s commercial printer market. The Chinese subsidiary of InfoPrint Solutions started operations on June 13.Backed up by IBM and Ricoh, InfoPrint Solutions will strengthen service and support capabilities and develop a new generation of printing solutions.The predecessor of InfoPrint Soluctions is IBM’s print system department, which specializes in providing information output solutions for telecoms, finance, postal, insurance and power industries.Its products include high-end printers and affiliated equipment and materials. The IBM printer takes up market share of over 80 per cent on China’s high-end printer market.
