Meet with industry leaders to build your business

Toners 2011 will be the place for print and toner industry executives, researchers, suppliers, manufacturers and more to gather and develop plans to keep business moving forward, generate new ideas and opportunities and build key relationships.

Tom Ashley, Chief Technology Officer for InkCycle, and Peter Calabrese, VP and GM of Toners for Hunt Imaging, are just two of the well-regarded and knowledgable industry insiders addressing this year’s conference.  Tom and Peter shared some thoughts with us about the current market trends following the economic downturn and much, much more!

    Pira:
Will the recent economic recession combined with changes in office printing behavior affect the industry landscape (i.e., do you foresee any mergers / acquisitions as suppliers attempt to compete?)

    Tom Ashley:
I expect to see an accelerating trend of M&A throughout the printing industry, just as in every maturing industry. Companies invested in imaging markets other than printing will be exceptions.

    Pira:
We are emerging from tough financial times – how would you describe the market for toners? What’s selling and what is not? Why?

    Peter Calabrese:
Overall, we have seen an increase from the 2008-2009 downturn in our markets. However, as we continue to see print volumes increase we are also seeing new technologies taking a considerable share of the traditional EP toner markets, specifically ink jet. All of the major OEMs have introduced ink jet engineered printing systems that rival and, in some cases, surpass EP systems when looking at speed and cost per page.
