    HP MAY QUIT DEVELOPING WeBOS PRINTER ?

    Hewlett-Packard (HP) Taiwan’s Image and Printing Group (IPG), commenting on the headquarters’ recent announcement that HP will quit the development of WebOS-based tablet PCs and smartphones, has pointed out that the department has not yet received any notice from the headquarters about WebOS-based printers, and whether HP will quit developing WebOS-based printers is unlikely to be known until the end of 2011.

    However, for the rest of 2011, the department will continue to work on expanding the cloud computing applications into its printer products and will launch series of printers supporting its ePrint technology, the company noted.
