Who Can Afford Brother’s New $1099.00 Mobile Printer ?
New mobile printers from Brother feature protection from dust, water and drops.
Brother’s latest mobile printers are aimed at mobile workers who need to print receipts, tickets, quotes, invoices, labels and similar documents while they are out and about.
The printers are certified to IP54 for water and dust protection, and are drop-tested to 1.8m.
With a printable width of 102mm, the RJ (RuggedJet) printers use thermal paper to avoid the need for ink or toner. The devices can be used to print conventional or 2D barcodes.
The RJ-4030 ($1099) features USB, Serial and Bluetooth interfaces, while the RJ-4040 ($1199) offers USB, Serial and Wi-Fi. Optional accessories include magnetic card reader, vehicle mount, vehicle chargers, 4-bay battery charger, AC adapter, weather case, shoulder strap and in-vehicle adapter.
"The use of mobile technology has been on the rise as businesses deploy mobile solutions to help become more productive, lower operating costs, gain a competitive advantage and service customers more effectively," said Aylin Dincsoy, marketing manager, electronic stationery, Brother International Australia.
