Ricoh Australia acquires IMC Communications business to significantly boost IT Services capability
Sydney, October, 2012: Ricoh Australia has acquired the IT services business of IMC Communications effective 1 October, bolstering its strategy to be a complete technology services-based organisation.

IMC Communications has been providing end-to-end IT Infrastructure services for over
18 years to some of Australia’s largest companies including Network Ten, Bankwest, SBS, Lloyds International and Amalgamated Holdings.

Les Richardson, Managing Director, Ricoh Australia, said the business acquisition of such a well-respected company adds managed IT services to Ricoh’s existing capability of Managed Document Services (MDS).

"We can now offer an extended range of quality professional services which includes IT and network services across Australia.

"The expertise and capability of IMC Communications combined with Ricoh’s customer-centric culture means we are in a very strong position to offer the support, know-how and technology that Australian businesses need to remain at the top of their game.

"We have positioned ourselves as a services-focused provider, and this acquisition strengthens our offering significantly," said Mr Richardson.

Matt Dixon comes over from IMC Communications and will head up the new Ricoh Managed IT Services Division of Ricoh Australia as its National Manager, IT Services Group.

"It is an exciting opportunity for IMC Communications to become part of a truly global and visionary organisation, said Dixon. "We bring high-level expertise and experience in network management and systems integration to a company renowned for its technology, customer service and innovation.

"We believe our combined offering to the market will be well received," said Dixon.
