N.C. Hospital Tells All Staff to Use PageMax Reman Toners
Change in Black Ink Toner Cartridges
Beginning Monday, Oct. 29, all orders with Staples for black ink toner cartridges will be directed to PageMax cartridges.
This is a result of a study and evaluation conducted jointly by EUS of ISD and the Materials Management Department.
Some of the benefits to UNC Hospitals for making this conversion are:
All PageMax cartridges are at least double the yield of the HP cartridges. We therefore estimate that we will be using approximately 50 percent fewer cartridges.
This will further trim toner cartridge expense by approximately 30 percent.
These are not reprocessed cartridges. However, Clarity Imaging Technologies, the company that markets PageMax, employs a zero land fill recycling program. Details of the plan are available upon request.
Used PageMax cartridges can be returned to Staples the same way HP cartridges are currently being returned.
A cross reference guide for HP toner cartridges and PageMax which also shows the number of images you can expect compared to the current HP black toner cartridges is attached here.
Please keep in mind when reordering toner cartridges that, because of the much higher yield of the PageMax cartridges, you will not need to order as many as you had previously.
Thank you.
