Threat Prompts Hp Facilty Evacuation in Rio Rancho New Mexico
    Building has been cleared

    By Matt Howerton

RIO RANCHO, N.M. —Everyone inside the the Hewlett-Packard building in Rio Rancho was ordered out because of a threat Wednesday.

According to Hewlett-Packard, employees inside were told to leave around 2:30 p.m. after the building got a threat. It's unclear what the threat was. The company said the decision to evacuate was a cautionary one.

"It's definitely a little nerve-wracking. You definitely don't want to be in a building when there's like a bomb or something, so definitely kind of a little hesitant to go back to work," said employee Lee Espinoza.

A bomb-sniffing K-9 was used, and eventually, the building was cleared. No bomb was found.

The building is near the Santa Ana Star Center off Paseo Del Volcan.
