Trump Slaps 61.5% Tariffs On Ninestar!
Ninestar Fires Back with 30% Price Hike Starting May 1st, 2025. Ninestar to Hike Prices 30% After Trump’s New Tariffs, Despite U.S. Ban. Chinese printing giant Ninestar has announced (see below) a 30% price increase starting May 1st, 2025—despite already being banned in the U.S.—in response to former President Trump’s new “Reciprocal Tariffs” set to take effect April 9th.
With total tariffs on Chinese toner imports jumping to 61.5%, Ninestar says the hike is “the only option” to continue operations. The company framed the move as necessary to maintain quality, but critics question why a banned company is still influencing U.S. markets through indirect channels. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________
