Ninestar’s G&G brand is trying to pull off one of the biggest scams in the toner industry. Their new “Original-Grade” line, marketed as a premium alternative to OEM cartridges, is just the same low-quality, counterfeit toner they’ve been peddling for years—but with a slick new name to trick  buyers.

Let’s break this down: G&G is claiming their new toner delivers “premium quality”, manufactured to the same high standards as OEM products. They say it’s rigorously tested and built with premium components. But none of that is true. These are still knockoff clone products, made to cut costs, often with inferior materials and questionable manufacturing practices. In other words, they might print fine in the short term—but expect poor consistency, compatibility issues, and potential damage to your printer over time. The term “Original-Grade” is just a marketing gimmick designed to confuse consumers. There’s no industry standard for it, and it certainly doesn’t mean these toners are anywhere near the quality of real OEM products. G&G is banking on the fact that many dealers are desperate for cheaper alternatives to the overpriced OEM cartridges—so they’re using misleading language to push counterfeit products into the mainstream market.
