    On December 10, 2025, the Los Angeles City Council adopted the recommendations from the Energy and Environment Committee’s September 2, 2025 report regarding a proposed ban on single-use printer cartridges. With this Council action, the City Attorney is preparing the draft ordinance, and LA Sanitation and Environment (LASAN) has been instructed to develop a plan for a comprehensive public outreach and education campaign.

    As LASAN develops this plan, we are reaching out to request your input. We aim to explore collaborative opportunities and leverage industry leadership to ensure our public education efforts are effective. The City of Los Angeles welcomes your perspective on potential strategies to help inform consumers about responsible printer cartridge management and options.

    Can you provide your input via this Google Form Survey. They are looking for responses by January 23, 2026. Please note that they are also engaging other industry stakeholders for their input before finalizing the plan. The survey is brief and any imputed provided is appreciated.
