Katun Staff Focus of Probe 
Katun Corp. probe said to widen The continuing federal investigation of Bloomington- based copier parts manufacturer Katun Corp. has widened to include at least three areas of inquiry, according to a source familiar with the investigation.
The Areas include possible improper accounting related to customer credits, improper use of airline tickets, and the possibility that Katun employees might have bribed customers to get access to competitors’ Web sites and illegally obtained pricing information.
Katun spokesman Chris Madel said Friday that he could not comment on the investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney Hank Shea could not be reached for comment.
At least 10 different current and former employees and a former director have been notified that they could face federal criminal charges related to the investigation. Federal authorities previously told Katun that the company itself is not a target of the investigation.
