While the findings do not necessarily mean Kodak has surpassed Fujifilm in total Japanese film sales, the reported change is still significant, especially given Fujifilm’s long-standing reputation and dominance in photographic film. Kodak’s continued popularity with products such as Gold, Portra and other professional and consumer films highlights the remarkable comeback of the Kodak brand as film photography experiences a global revival.
