GOOD NEWS: Domino Partners With Close the Loop to Recycle Thermal Inkjet Ink Cartridges.

Domino Printing is expanding its sustainability efforts by partnering with Close the Loop to provide thermal inkjet (TIJ) cartridge recycling for customers, helping keep used industrial ink cartridges out of conventional waste streams. Under the program, eligible non-hazardous Domino TIJ cartridges can be collected and processed, with recovered plastics redirected into industrial applications rather than simply being discarded. The initiative, already available across markets including the UK, Benelux and Germany, highlights the growing push toward a circular economy for inkjet cartridges and printing consumables. While the program does not mean every recycled cartridge is remanufactured into a new Domino cartridge, it represents a significant step toward recovering valuable materials from industrial printing waste and could encourage other coding, marking, inkjet and printer consumables manufacturers to develop similar cartridge take-back and recycling programs.
